Pantelleria Island News: "La Musica e il Vento" festival returns
Sea, sun and ... music: there are just a few days left before the start of "La Musica e il Vento", the festival in Pantelleria that will make the island a unique stage for many artists from July 2nd to September 2nd.
Promoted by the cultural association ARTSUITE chaired by Pier Navoni - heir of the Friends of Pantelleria - and also strongly desired by the cultural councillor Claudia Della Gatta, the festival has an international scope, with 6 events featuring artists from all over Europe.

MUSIC FESTIVAL IN PANTELLERIA: DATES AND ARTISTS
The Music Festival in Pantelleria "La Musica e il Vento" provides 6 concerts over the course of 2 months, all with free admission and starting at 8.45 pm. Here are the dates of the concerts:
July 2nd: Mark Glanville & Stelios Katsatidis "Tra le Terre"
The festival will open with an exciting recital performed by a great voice and one of the world's top accordionists. The two artists will bring to the stage a tribute to the cultures of the Mediterranean, from Turkey to Israel, passing through Greece, Puglia and of course, Sicily.
August 7th: Marton Kiss – Piano
The first appointment of August is with the recital of Marton Kiss, an internationally renowned pianist, who will dedicate the entire show to American music, from Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" to the suite of "An American in Paris".
August 15th: Giuseppe Albanese – Piano
The celebrations for Ferragosto will end with the notes of one of Italy's most talented pianists: Giuseppe Albanese. His recital will propose piano transcriptions of famous dance pages for orchestra, from Strauss to Tchaikovsky to Delibes.
August 21st: Roberta Di Mario – Piano "Leda and the Swan".
A contemporary-flavored show, with the performance of the artist who enchanted the audience of Piano Milano City and who was chosen by Apple for the Play List dedicated to the Triumph of the Piano.
August 28th: Giulio Plotino Trio.
The fourth August appointment of the Festival is one of those not to be missed: Giulio Plotino, a talented violinist acclaimed by international critics, will lead his trio among the works of Teleman, Handel and Vivaldi.
September 2nd: Sergio Ciomei – Piano. "An invitation to MOZART's house".
The festival will bid farewell to the end of summer with a special evening, suspended between Mozart's magical music and improvisation on themes proposed by the audience, just like the Austrian pianist used to do. Taking center stage will be Sergio Ciomei: Mozartian pianist par excellence, among the most acclaimed by critics, winner of the Mozarteum in Salzburg and principal pianist of Cecilia Bartoli.
Between nature and culture, all the dates of the Music and Wind Festival represent an unmissable event for those who will be in Pantelleria, making their summer holidays even more unforgettable.
